The sandy beach at Binibeca is approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk from the
villa
and is approached by a short walk from the road through the pine trees and
offers safe bathing for all the family. The beach has gentle shelving
sands for the young ones and rocks from which the older children can dive safely
into the shallow waters. Parents can watch on from the Binibeca Beach Bar which
serves light meals throughout the day. The South East Coast of the island offers other resorts for rock bathing, snorkeling and diving as well as many smaller coves to explore. There is a holiday train that runs from the bottom of the road which will take you to other nearby coastal resorts. Inland the town of St Lluis, founded by the French in the mid eighteenth century, offers an enchanting picture of typical modern Spanish life and remains relatively untouched by tourism. Similarly, Es Castell, a town which played an important part in Menorcan military history is worth a visit on route to Calas Fonts. |
