Binibeca and Binibeca Vell:
The beach bar at Binibeca, Los Bucaneros, has the reputation of being the
best beach bar on the island. The menu is simple, the prices reasonable and
the food excellent. Enjoy a relaxing lunch on the beach with the waves just
a few yards away.
Within five minutes walk of the villa there are five restaurants and a
late night bar. All are situated in Cala Torret and benefit from terraces
that over look the bay of Binibeca. The restaurants range from burgers to
top Menorcan cuisine.
There are a range of restaurants in Binibeca Vell. El Pescadito offers a
full range of fresh fish and the Restaurant Binigrill has a range of fresh
meat and fish which are cooked to order on the grill, this restaurant also
has a children's menu. Both are reasonably priced.
Calas Fons, Es Castell:
Take a stroll around this pretty harbour one evening. There are numerous
restaurants to choose from with a wide variety of tastes and price. In
the high season, there are shops and market stalls with tempting gifts for
you and your family and friends at home.
Trebol offers a wide selection of fresh fish for a lovely meal here at
the harbour side, watching the world go by and enjoying the view. In the
high season it may be necessary to call in or telephone in advance to book a
table.
Julio’s Bar Dumbo is at the other side of the harbour and gives a
different perspective from Trebol. This restaurant offers value for money
and good food in quite simple surroundings. Again, lots of fresh fish one
offer here.
Boomerang is not on the harbour but just at the top of the road on the
right going down to Es Castell. The restaurant is in a cave and is a little
dark but nice and cool in the summer. Again quite a lot of fish on
offer but we had some excellent suckling pig and a delicious steak.
St Lluis:
La Rueda can be found on the main street in St Luis. It offers both full
meals and "tapas" which can be eaten in the bar and a full
menu in the restaurant upstairs. It is extremely popular and is often very
busy but it is well worth a try. The menu is in English so it very easy to
navigate your way through the wide variety of tapas on offer.
La Venta can be found near the roundabout. It has a pretty shaded area
where you can eat outside in the summer.
Pizzeria Via Pau offers a full range of pizzas cooked to order and
delicious. They also have a take out menu if you fancy and evening relaxing
on the terrace but cannot be bothered to cook.
Torret:
Pan y Vino is featured in the restaurants off the beaten track. It is
quite difficult to find and again is popular and gets booked up. If you take
a drive out there is a book where you can enter the time you wish to eat.
The food was delicious and served in a very tranquil setting.
Mahon:
There are numerous restaurants at the port in Mahon. Take a leisurely
stroll one lunchtime or evening, enjoy the boats and pick a restaurant that
takes your fancy.
